There Are No Impossible Requests, Only Creative Solutions to Being Safe At Home...Where You Want to Be.
We accept private pay and long term care insurance. Unfortunately, Medicare does not pay for private care and currently we are not accepting Medicaid.
It depends on the type of services. Our personal care is individualized so the pricing is also tailored to your needs.
How do we pay for the services?
What are the cost of the services?
After an initial assessment and evaluation of needs, and desires, our client care coordinator meets personally with the client and family or friends as appropriate and determine what is the profile of the "ideal" caregiver for the client. Then we choose two or three staff members who meet the chosen profile and place them on a trial basis, if the client and all involved in the client's care are satisfied with the match, we keep the caregivers at the client's care, to always have a relief person and bring variety and challenging activities as appropriate. The amount of caregivers will determine on the amount of hours each client has.
How do you assign a caregiver to a client?
Dementia care training, Parkinson's common symptoms and best practices of care, mental illness in seniors and best practices for their care. We also train on specific medical needs and activities of daily living support (bathing, transfer, toileting), nutrition and cooking, customer service and new standards in senior care.
What kind of training do you provide?
How do you screen and supervise caregivers?
All our caregivers and staff members undergo a rigorous screening that includes: driving record, sex offender registry and all forms of criminal history (federal, state, and local for misdemeanor and felony), social security validity, drug testing,  and health screening. In addition, we screen for customer service aptitude, dementia care proficiency, and English proficiency. We also screen the caregiver for their experience level and problem solving skills, as well. We check their work references and provide excellent training for the caregiver and screen for those who have impeccable problem solving skills.

All our caregivers are employees.
Are your caregivers employees or independent contractors?
We have Certified Nursing Assistants, trained Dementia Companions and Personal Assistants.
What credentials do staff members have?
From support to independence to 24/7 care, including respite and end of life support.
Caring Companions provides a comprehensive assessment and individualized plan of care, delivered by professionals in their field. As an agency, we screen, hire, and train our employees. Sometimes, families think they will save money by hiring a caregiver directly, rather than going through an agency. When they hire someone directly, they become the employer and are fully responsible for their caregiver employee. Hiring a caregiver directly can sometimes save a few dollars in the short term, but there are important considerations that people should be aware of before making this important decision. The most important is the quality of care for your loved one.
Why should I use Caring Companions rather than hiring a caregiver directly?
What levels of care do you provide?
What type of clients do you serve?
Those who need help to age in place, at home, or who need extra care after moving into a facility. Caring Companions offers specialized care for adults with chronic debilitating conditions. Alzheimer's, Parkinson's ALS, and mental illness can compromise their ability to live safely in their homes...where they want to be.  As the needs of this population grow more complex-especially when there is loss of memory or mobility-you search for meaningful and manageable solutions. As you understand the value of staying at home, the power of autonomy and the importance of community to longevity and health, you seek a new model for elder care. At Caring Companions, we are forging this model.
